These colourful coconut bath melts infused with lemon balm bath oil are incredibly fragrant and relaxing.
If your way of unwinding after a long day is taking a bath, these homemade bath melts are for you! They are quick to make and can be stored in the freezer until your next bath. Whenever you take a bath, just throw one of these bath melts in and enjoy the wonderful lemon balm scent and feel your muscles relax. Your skin will absorb some of the oils while you are soaking and you will be left with effortless smooth and hydrated skin! For this recipe I used the lemon balm bath oil by Kneipp which is one of my favourite bath oils. It contains Indian lemon balm, also known as citronella, which has calming and relaxing properties. The main ingredient in these bath melts is coconut oil which is a wonderful moisturizer.
My brother visited us yesterday and I got to spend some time with him, showing him around our new home and the city we live in. It was the first time my brother visited us since our move and I was glad to see him. We don’t see each other often given that we live 9 hours apart and he has a toddler at home. Despite not seeing each other that much we get along really well. We still have that big brother-little sister kind of dynamic that we used to when we were growing up. My brother is truly an older brother (we are 10 years apart) and he’ll tease me a lot. But as much as he can dish it out he can also take my sassy and sometimes borderline mean comments in return. Even if we do not see each other for months it’s like time didn’t pass in between once we see each other again. We’ll probably always be those two mischievous kids standing next to each other in the bathroom brushing our teeth while goofing off and making fun of our parents.
We were mischievous kids indeed. I bet my mom needed a lot of hot baths and pain killers to deal with us kids. No scratch that, she probably needed a lot of wine. I don’t know how she did it, but I truly admire her for it. While I am not a mom myself yet, I still enjoy taking a bath after a stressful day. However, I can also be a bit lazy when it comes to skin care which is why I love beauty hacks that save you time. I would definitely call bath melts a beauty hack because they save you from having to apply lotion afterwards. Usually our skin feels a bit dry after a hot bath….but when adding these to your bath your skin feels smooth and healthy. No need to get out the lotion!

Hi Enchantra!
Cocoa butter or shea butter are great alternatives. 🙂
