5 Diy Christmas Gifts for the Not-So-Crafty
15 December 2018 by Natanja
Christmas is right around the corner! Do you have all your gifts yet? If not, don’t worry, I got you covered! Today I am sharing 5 incredibly easy diy gift ideas for the last minute gifter. These are all simple diys that are suited specifically for the not-so-crafty crowd (wave if you feel included :)). If you do not want to spend hours on one project and would rather make something in 15 minutes tops, these gift ideas are for you! While the diys are simple, they are all beautiful handmade items that your friends and family will surely be delighted to receive.
Diy Rose Soap
For old-schoolers who still use soap bars. Don’t be fooled by the fancy appearance of this diy soap- this diy is incredibly easy to make! Instead of making soap from scratch with lye and 100 other ingredients you probably do not have at home, this soap is made using a soap base. You only need 2 additional ingredients plus some molds of your choice. Soap making has never been easier! Find it here.
Chocolate Spoons
Let’s face it, you can never go wrong with hot cocoa, especially if you know someone with a sweet-tooth! These gorgeous chocolate spoons are made in no time and require few ingredients. All you need is some high quality chocolate (I used couverture) and some garnishes of choice. (Think marshmallows, m&ms, peanut butter chips, Christmas sprinkles, chopped up candy canes,.. the sky’s the limit!) To make the chocolate spoons, get your garnishes and disposable spoons ready, then melt a small batch of chocolate and pour it onto the spoons. Add garnishes and let the chocolate spoons cool completely. Then add a bow or any decorations you’d like and package them in cellphone bags. All your friends need to do is stir it in some hot milk. Voilà diy hot cocoa!
Lavender Linen Spray
For that friend who always says they never get enough sleep. Made with only 3 ingredients, this diy couldn’t be any easier! If you know someone who loves the scent of lavender, this is a great gift to give. The soothing scent helps with falling asleep and feeling relaxed and calm. When sprayed on the pillows and sheets it creates a relaxing environment that can help you get more zzzs. Fill it into pretty clear glass bottles and add a bow or some twine to make it pretty. Find it here.
Tub Tea Sachets
Perfect for any beauty junkie who loves to take baths. Filled with oatmeal, salt, dried herbs and essential oils, they are a calming addition to any bath. With all natural ingredients, these sachets are incredibly hydrating and beneficial to the skin. Find them here.
Diy Flavored Salt
This gift is great for any foodie who loves to cook. Save your money on expensive salt blends and make your own customisable versions at home. All you need is some coarse salt (I used Himalayan) and any spices or dried herbs of choice. Grind everything together with a pestle and mortar and fill into clean glass jars. For a spicy lemon salt, combine 1/4 cup of coarse salt, 3/4 teaspoons chili flakes and 1 tablespoon dried lemon zest. Grind it together until you are happy with the texture and fill it into an 80ml glass jar. Make sure to use airtight jars so the spices stay fresh.
I hope you found some inspiration for your Christmas gifts and give some of these a try. If you do, be sure to let me know in the comment section down below!
